Education System

Primary & Secondary Education

The Peace River South School District 59 is responsible for 23 educational facilities in Pouce Coupe, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge and the surrounding areas.  Joint funding from the Ministry of Education, School District 59 and the Village of Pouce Coupe resulted in the replacement of the Pouce Coupe Elementary School in 2008, as well as the Encana Pouce Coupe Regional Community Centre as part of the school facility, and the Municipal Library.

The new elementary school is for children in kindergarten to grade 7.  Junior and Senior high school students are bussed to Dawson Creek.
